Broncos Hire Vance Joseph as Head Coach
The Broncos have finally for their man. According to Adam Schefter, the Broncos have come to terms with Joseph on a four-year deal.
The Denver Broncos are closing in on a deal with Vance Joseph to make him their new head coach after losing former coach Gary Kubiak to health reasons, a source told ESPN’s Josina Anderson on Wednesday.
The two sides are currently working on the financial terms of the deal for the 44-year-old defensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins , the source said. Joseph was scheduled to interview with the San Diego Chargers for their head-coaching vacancy today but stayed in Denver, hmmm. Jospeh interviewed with the Broncos on Tuesday and general manager John Elway said he has what it “takes to win”
“He has great leadership qualities and a strong vision of what it takes to win,” Elway tweeted after Tuesday’s interview, which lasted several hours.
Joseph was a former defensive backs coach with the Cincinnati Bengals for three years and was hired as defensive coordinator in Miami last season. The Broncos have had their eyes on Joseph before, he interviewed with them two years ago. Vance was a huge role in the turn around in Miami, the ‘Fins went from 6-10 to 10-6 and made the playoffs.
