If bad blood had a definition, it would be Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt. Cruz will be defending his bantamweight championship against Garbrandt at UFC 207. Media week always stressful and hectic and it seemed as if Cruz got the best of Garbrandt in the exchange.

In an interview with Fight Network, the two 135-pound fighters got into a heated exchange and Garbrandt threatened to take Cruz on during the interview. Watch below.

The argument between the two fighters was Garbrandt’s girlfriend. It seems that a few of Cruz’s fans attacked Garbrandt’s girlfriend via social media when she tried to stick up for her boyfriend Garbrandt.

“She shouldn’t be hollering at me on social media,” said Cruz. “Keep her to yourself. As far as I’m concerned, I did you and her a favor. She obviously wears the pants in the relationship or else she wouldn’t be having to defend you.”

The two fighters were only a room apart during the interview, Garbrandt suggested that he would come over there and fight Cruz. Cruz egged Garbrandt on.

“I’ll come across there right now,” said Garbrandt. “You’re a room away.” An amused Cruz could only laugh, “C’mon, turd. Let’s go.”

Garbrandt was so visibly upset that he demanded that his microphone be taken off and he swiftly left the interview. Cruz, who was chuckling the whole time simply said “He has to do this, because this is what an alpha, a savage does,” Cruz joked.

One has to wonder, if Cruz is already in Garbrandt’s head, then how will Garbrandt react inside the octagon. The two fighters will have the opportunity to settle their differences when the face in the co-main event Friday night.
