DUNK360 Presents The Crossover with Peter Gunz!
The Crossover is a new interview series on DUNK360, hosted by Maria Myraine. In basketball, the term “crossover” refers to a maneuver in which the player switches the ball rapidly from one hand to the other – to make a change in direction. On DUNK360, The Crossover explores both sides of a (hypothetical) ball. Examining sports and music, Maria Myraine sits down with music artists to discuss their music as well as their commentary on sports. And on the flipside, she will also sit down with athletes to get their expertise on sports, and their opinions on music.
On this second episode, DUNK360 linked with Peter Gunz during a press conference in the city. Maria Myraine opens the interview with an observation she made while on Gunz’ Instagram page – a video clip of him & his son, in the car, as an Eminem song plays in the background. From there, the conversation centers on Hip Hop – what he teaches his kids about Hip Hop, women in Hip Hop and his relationship with Fat Joe.
Feeling a bit nostalgic, Maria Myraine also reflects on “De Ja Vu” with Peter Gunz and if his recent venture with VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” has tainted his Hip Hop “legacy.” He also briefs us on a story about the single involving Diddy. The interview then crosses over into sports talk, as Peter Gunz discusses why he’s a Floyd Mayweather fan.
