Steelers Sign Knile Davis to One-Year Contract

Steelers add some depth to their running backs.

The Steelers have signed former Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis to a one-year contract, according to Adam Schefter.

The team made the announced on Monday afternoon that Davis will be on their 90-man roster. Davis joins wide receiver Justin Hunter as the only new arrivals in Pittsburgh so far.

Davis was a 2013 third-round pick by the Chiefs and spent the first three-plus years in Kansas City before being traded to the Packers last October. Davis will likely be be the backup to Le’Veon Bell as DeAngelo Williams remains an unrestricted free agent.
