Spike Lee Calls Out Teams for not Signing Colin Kaepernick

Spike Lee wants the Jets to take a lo at Colin Kaepernick.

Film director Spike Lee posted on Instagram Sunday about how his hometown Jets haven’t looked a signing free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“The New York J-E-T-S Need A Quarterback,” wrote Lee, who said he spoke with Kaepernick over brunch. “Who Is The J-E-T-S Quarterback? Is My Man Joe Willie Namath Coming Back? Crazy Times We Live In.”

Lee added, “Smells MAD Fishy To Me, Stinks To The High Heavens” that Kaepernick, who opted out of his San Francisco 49ers contract, still doesn’t have a job.

This comes after, and has everything with Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem that ignited the NFL last season. Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem as a way to protest social and racial issues. The Jets brought in Josh McCown over the weekend, but the veteran QB left Sunday without a contract.

Kaepernick will stand for the national anthem during the 2017 season, sources have told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
