Ryan Tannehill Officially Out Against Steelers, Matt Moore To Start

Matt Moore will start against Steelers, as Tannehill has not been medically cleared.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports Miami Dolphins’ quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee) will not play this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their Wild Card matchup on Sunday.

Earlier in the week, the Dolphins hadn’t ruled out Tannehill, but head coach Adam Gase said Wednesday that the expectation is that backup Matt Moore will be the starter.

“Matt Moore’s preparing for the game, he’s the starter,” Gase said. “Unless something changes drastically here in the next two days or three days, he’s going into this thing as the starter.”

Tannehill sprained his ACL and MCL in his left knee on Dec. 11 against the Arizona Cardinals. As the starter in the past three games, Moore is 2-1 for the fins.
