Pittsburgh Police Chief Defends Cop After Joey Porter Arrest

The Pittsburgh Police Review Board announced it's investigating the incident.

Pittsburgh’s police chief is defending the officer who arrested Steelers coach Joey Porter on Sunday night after the team beat the Dolphins in their Wild Card game earlier Sunday afternoon.

The independent Citizens Police Review Board announced it’s investigating

Even though Porter’s attorney says they didn’t file a complaint about the officer’s conduct, review board executive director Elizabeth Pittinger says the incident will be reviewed due to the “high visibility” of the case. There is video of the incident that supports the officers claims that Porter grabbed him by the wrist after he was getting in the middle of fight between Porter and a bouncer just hours after the Steelers’ victory.
