NBA Draftees, Mayor de Blasio Participate in NBA Cares Initiatives

Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York City, recently teamed up with NBA Cares, the Department of Education, and Share our Strength to announce the 2014 summer meals program that provides free healthy meals to millions of children across New York City.

The Mayor gave his heartfelt opinion about the new program, saying, “Ensuring the health of our children is our highest priority – and providing them with quality, nutritious meals is central to that. I am thrilled to see this partnership with the NBA continue, and I urge all New Yorkers to participate in this free city service.”

Also in attendance were NBA potential lottery picks Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Doug “McBuckets” McDermott, Dante Exum, Adreien Payne, Marcus Smart and a few other star-studded and decorated future NBA heroes.

We’re not sure who had more fun, the kids, or Wiggins!
