LeBron James Blows Off The Undertaker!
LeBron James has some strict rules, and that doesn’t change when dealing with legends, future Hall of Famers or even the walking dead???
If you don’t have an appointment with Mr. James, don’t think you’re going to meet with the three-time NBA champ and MVP, WWE legend The Undertaker found that out the hard way. Remember those images of Taker and his wife, Michelle McCool, and Dana Warrior, the widow of the Ultimate Warrior waiting outside the Cavs’ locker room before their home opener?
Well, looks like they waited for a pretty, pretty, pretty long time *Larry David voice*, according to the New York Post. The Undertaker, real name Mark William Calaway, waited up to an hour to meet with the James but he never came out. The wrestler who is known for The Streak, got stood up by James but did get to meet with other Cavs players like Kevin Love, Richard Jefferson and more.
Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon got some dirt on the snub:
“If you don’t have an appointment, don’t already know James personally, aren’t a business associate or a small child, the odds of ‘meeting’ James before or after a Cavs game in or near the locker room are not great,” Vardon wrote. “I once saw Houston Astros stud second baseman Jose Altuve try to get a meeting with James after a game against the Houston Rockets in Texas. The request came through various team PR officials. Let’s just say James had no interest.
“Another rule. James is not cool with someone purposefully trying to make money or gain fame through him, away from the court. In other words, no PR stunts that don’t benefit James.”
Many figure The Undertaker was there to actually meet James after the Finals MVP was seen wearing an Undertaker shirt during last year’s Finals. James I guess was fed up with WWE’s product like most wrestling fans are today, so he wasn’t giving the company any more pop.
